A Review on Statistical Process Control in Healthcare: Data-Driven Monitoring Schemes

چکیده

In recent years, the adoption of statistical process monitoring (SPM) techniques in healthcare has been successful. For instance, biosurveillance and biosignal have demonstrated direct benefits. As latest reviews literature show, parametric SPM implemented to evaluate quality-of-service hospitals provide, track medical equipment, monitor safety markers, or assess improvements made by quality projects. However, as shown this research, world-trending topics data science that include data-driven approaches integrated with not reviewed. To bridge gap shed light on new a systematic review scientific databases taxonomic analysis were performed. scientometric analysis, set bibliometric indicators obtained portray performance each subtopic, such examining growth kinetics, identifying top authors, journals, countries affiliations, well creating network maps co-authorship keyword co-occurrence. Additionally, involved grouping proposals methodological approach. Each approach was explained discussed identify advantages, limitations, challenges researchers practitioners may encounter. require more flexibility account for frequency unbalance, complexity, dimensionality problems, speed. Those working computer-oriented areas can expand their toolbox incorporating sequential enhance power classifiers, risk, reduce misspecification, adopt model-oriented mindsets.

A Review and Evaluation of Statistical Process Control Methods in Monitoring Process Mean and Variance Simultaneously

In this paper, first the available single charting methods, which have been proposed to detect simultaneous shifts in a single process mean and variance, are reviewed. Then, by designing proper simulation studies these methods are evaluated in terms of in-control and out-ofcontrol average run length criteria (ARL). The results of these simulation experiments show that the EWMA and EWMS methods ...

Statistical Monitoring of Rare Events in Healthcare

There are miscellaneous quality characteristics in healthcare which are interested to be monitored. However, monitoring each characteristic needs a special statistical method. There are some characteristics with very small incidence rates that it’s usually considered not to be necessary to monitoring them, since their incidence rates are so small that p and np charts are not able to monitor t...
